JANUARY 'OF THE MONTHS' It's time for HM's first OTM nominations. We would like you to reply below with your nominations, and if you'd like, add in why. In terms of a couple, it does not have to be in the romantic sense. Any two characters that have interesting dynamics can be nominated.  Please provide a link to the thread of the month. Once the nominations close of the 25th of December, a poll will be put up where everyone can vote. They have great chemistry as father and son. Despite their names, there's nothing cold between them.

I nominate Ditzen. She's a really great member and has brought something to these forums that many other role play forums I've been on lack- she's really made this place feel like a community and not only that she welcomes every new face so she's very inclusive.

As both a staff member and a roleplayer, Ditzen simply continues to impress me on all fronts. Her posts are well-thought out, her activity makes HM a truly fun place to be, and she's done an extraordinary job greeting all new members in the cbox and showing everyone who comes here that Hogwarts Moon is just as welcoming as she is.

I've been roleplaying for a few years, and I'm always refreshed to find realistic characters. We all have a tendency to make our characters heroes of action, and there's nothing wrong with that, but I always love to see a character that's more withdrawn and displays more caution for the dangerous events occurring around them. Eva Pauw is far more concerned with keeping her job and living a normal life than being the wizarding world's next Harry Potter.

Couple: @tammydeath and FELIX FAIRBOURNE

Felix is one of the most cautiously-friendly adults I've seen, and Tammy just isn't very friendly at all unless she has a good reason to be. Watching Felix adjust to a conversation with Tammy is very entertaining and leaves a lot of room for the unexpected.

I'm not in it, but everyone else is! So many characters coming together to make an interesting dynamic that has had me thinking about making a student character just to join in.

RYAN

Ryan joined HM at the start of December and immediately made an impression. He struck us, the Admin team, as a pragmatic, capable member, and adding that to his previous experience of running a website, we promoted him to staff. He has helped this website to grow faster than I could have ever imagined, and taken the lead in many aspects of the site, notably the Duelling Club and Daily Prophet areas. Ryan has taken a weight off our shoulders, and I don't think HM would be as active or interactive as it is today, only a month or so on, without him.

ROCHELLE CASTER

Rochelle is an interesting character, and one that I enjoy reading. Her personality is a great mixture of hilarity and seriousness, which makes her one of the very best on HM.

These two have a great chemistry. Both are as intelligent and witty as the other, and I always click on any reply that they have done together. Quite an interesting relationship, as both are werewolves, so I can't wait to see how it develops.

A Condemned Christmas

This was a tough one, but I succumed to the demons and chose a thread that I started (albeit with one of my other characters). However, I didn't choose it because of any bias or hope of awards, but because of the characters that joined it. Rose, Rochelle, Hanna and Mark all joined, and made it a very entertaining thread indeed.

Ryan is such an active member, I have never met someone who is so eager to help and to make the site an active and fun place to be. Aside from us other admins, he is incredibly focused on his mission and that mission is to make everything AWESOME. very proud of him

I just love them. the imagery, the difference in personalities. it just makes me happy that there is a thread with the two of them exists

Haunting by Moonlight
I love this I love this I Love This. The different takes on how to play a vampire, either morally or respectfully is different between characters but its just awesome to see how different people feel on the subject (vampires are a love of mine)

MEMBER OF THE MONTH This is a tough one but I think I'll vote for RYAN, haven't been on HM v2 for very long but in the short time I've been on I can see he's really eager to make the site as awesome as possible. I also know for him to be added to staff means he's really impressed the admins

This is a tough one. All our members have contributed in a wonderful way and I would like to mention each of them here. But for this month I am going to go with Riley (@jae). He has really impressed me with his willingness to jump in and help out. His characters are active and dynamic.

I love the dynamics between these two friends, especially how reckless Hanna becomes when she is protecting her friend.
