Hiding Out [Open to anyone and everyone]

Ariana had had a long night. She was tired from her monthly hunt in the forest for blood. Because of being a half vampire, and needed blood at least once a month, she had been given special permission to hunt in the forest once a month. Not every time could she find herself blood, however, and the animals within were not exactly the most tasty creatures to feed off of. She much preferred human blood, so often she would go to the school nurse and ask. Ariana had enough control over her hunger that she had never once fed off of a student...ok except the one time she was so hungry she couldn't resist. Then she had been threatened that if she did it again, she would be expelled. 

Ariana had nipped up to her dorm and grabbed her favourite book on the Dark Arts and brought it to the Forbidden Forest to try and get some reading done. She quietly lit her wand and started her study. She just hoped there were no professors out tonight...and if they were, she would most likely be given  a weeks worth of detentions for being out at night, a months worth for being in the forbidden forest, and if they ever found out, an expulsion for the study of the dark arts. But she highly doubted they would ever found out. She would happily burn the book before they found it.

Wolves are territorial creatures; Sevrum was no exception. His inner wolf howled for ownership of this area in the Dark Forest. After all, it's where he set up camp the most. His tent was nearly always pitched between three trees that formed a triangle, and not far was a river with a current so smooth that it rocked him to sleep on most nights where he would normally lie awake for hours. Sevrum sat it in his tent just then, making use of its enchanted space and polishing his mask in his study.

The night wasn't nearly over, and Sevrum could feel the moon tugging on the beast inside of him. It wouldn't be full for another fortnight, but each passing day granted him with a stronger sensation of a coming transformation. That reminded him, and he reached into a bag that was laying beside him, opened up a vial, and swallowed the potion that was inside. Wolfsbane was an essential part of any smart wolf's life. Even if you didn't care if you murdered random civillians, it was still best to have your wits about you. Only a fool felt safe relying only on beastly instincts; only a few would deprive themselves of consciousness during their transformation. A transformed werewolf, on their own, is a frightening and powerful thing, but a transformed wolf that retains its human intelligence-- that was truly a nightmare.

Sevrum thought it would be best to play it safe for upcoming moons, though. With the Ministry on the lookout for him, he knew that they would search high and low for him on the full moon, as his condition was no secret from his ex-employers. To play it safe, Sevrum hunted his food in advance, took his potion like a good dog, and stayed inside his tent when the moon was full.

Tonight was as good as night as any to do some hunting, so Sevrum grabbed his wand, slipped his mask on over his face, threw on a black robe, and draped himself in a black cloak with a silver wolf clasp before ducking out of his tent and heading into the trees.

He held his wand in hand as he smelled around the best he could-- the mask he wore only has two slits in the nose bulge for him to smell through, and it had six vertical slits in the mouth and two holes for eyes. He walked as silently as he could, but only a ghost could step on twigs and dried leaves without making at least a little bit of noise.

Then, a scent came to him, and he raised his wand. It was a vampire, and, as an experienced werewolf.  if he knew one thing about vampires, it was this: If you smell them, they smelled you first.

Knowing that the creature of the night could probably hear him, he spoke aloud through the slits in his mask. "I hope you don't think you've found a snack. I bite back, I'm afraid."

Ariana paused after smelling the familiar scent of a werewolf. She snapped her book shut and stood up, leaning back against the wall as she got out her wand, automatically, for protection. She had come across only one werewolf in her past, and had had a bad time with it; experiences she never wish to come across again.

Ariana stood silent, still and held a stare at the trees and bushes around her. She heard the sharp voice of a man, picked up by her enhanced hearing. She swallowed after speaking.
"Never." Ariana's one word answer hoped it would be enough to get the beast to not harm her. At least it was not a full moon, for her own safety, she forbid herself to go out any night close to the full moon.
