Hufflepuff and Gryffindor [Private - Christie]

Alex walked with the girl he just met towards the Three Broomsticks. He actually didn't plan on staying long in Hogsmeade but of course, he hadn't planned on meeting this beautiful angel walking with him right now. From the first time he saw her, he was already mesmerized and now, as they were walking towards their destination, he was even more captivated by her beauty. He kept glancing at her and smiling, which he hoped that she hadn't seen.

Arriving in front of the Three Broomsticks, he quickly shuffled around to get rid of all the snow and frost on his robes before opening the door for the girl. He then flourished and said, "After you, my lady"

Manners were his first lesson with Nigel and it had been drilled into him that being a gentleman was the first step into a girl's heart. Every girl wanted to be treated very special and he was going to make it so with Christie.

Christie noticed him staring at her and smiling, running her fingers through her hair so that it covered her face more. She didn’t want him to see her blushing. She found his attention sweet, unnerving, but sweet.

His hand was warm in hers, despite the very cold weather. 

“Thank you.” She smiled, entering as he opened the door for him. He really was a gentleman, complete with manners. It was a nice change of pace. “Well, I’m a bit pressed for time. I have a date at six, tonight. We’ll have to drink quickly” she said, before smiling at him. She giggled, unsure if he had caught on to the joke by his expression.



She slipped her coat off, gently shaking the snow off as she walked towards a booth in the corner. She always chose the same booth because it was a bit hidden from the rest of the patrons. “Alexander or Alex? Or Mr. Ravenhearst?”

"Alex, please. Only my parents call me Alexander, and that is when they are very frustrated with me!" Alex replied as he escorted the beautiful girl towards the booth in the corner that she seems to like. He glanced towards the left and sighed as he saw his brother with Madame Eshae. He hoped that his brother didn't see him, or else he might just be subject to his teasing later on.

Letting her seat first, he sat down before stating, "Don't worry about your date, Christie. I'm sure we will be done by six."

He knew not to become intimidated by her comment about her date later on today. The mere fact that she was here, with him and agreed to even come here with him was proof enough that the boy she was going to meet was either not serious, or that she was baiting him. Of course, he didn't mind since she was here, with him, and that only meant that she was interested in him. He smiled at her before asking, "What do you like to drink?"

Christie smiled as he said that, shrugging as she snuggled into him. She rested her head on his shoulder and placed her hand on his chest. “I don’t know. I think Alexander is pretty sexy for a name. It just rolls off the tongue. A-lex-an-der. Alexander. ” she whispered playfully, before scooting back to her side, as if nothing had happened. She smiled to herself, thinking his flustered expression was adorable.

She was messing with him.

She looked up to see his brother, Professor Ravenhearst, with Madame Eshae. She wondered how the woman had managed to get a date with him, with his fanclub always by his side. He was like the celebrity of the castle. Christie found him handsome, but he was a much older man. It was even weirder that he was her Professor. She didn’t mention his brother.



Christie smiled back up at him, “I’d love a butterbeer, please, Mr. Rav-en-hearst.” she said playfully. She was only teasing him.

Alex blushed as the girl snuggled into him and played her fingers on his chest. Her voice playing his name, seemed to have a most grand effect on his bodily features and he definitely was flustered. He sighed in relief as the girl sat back onto her side before seeing her glance towards his brother. But it seems the glance never lingered like most girls so he was happy about that.

The girl smiled at him before she asked for a butterbeer, which was accompanied by another play at his name, which made him shiver. He smiled slightly before calling a boy that worked in the bar and ordered two butterbeers before smiling towards his current date and asked, "So, tell me all about yourself, Christie! I mean, we need to get to know each other before we move this relationship to the next base." 

Alex winked at her before waiting for her reply.

Christie smiled as Alex blushed, finding him cute. The blush seemed to be an oxymoron with him, however. A handsome, masculine man, blushing, it was silly. She giggled as he shivered, knowing it was because she had made another play at his name. His name was really quite sexy. Alexander Ravenhearst. So many syllables.

It was her turn to blush at the boy, as he winked at her and asked for more information before moving to the next base. Maybe she had taken it too far and given him the wrong impression. Regardless, she looked down at the table, tracing circles and other shapes on it, before looking back at him. She quickly fluttered her eyes back down, staring at the wood of the table. “Um… well, I’m a Sixth Year, in Gryffindor, obviously. I have three older brothers, Kyle, Jake and Lawrence. Jake just graduated last year. Kyle is the oldest.” She shrugged, not knowing what else to say. She stayed clear of mentioning more about her family, or the fact that they were all in Slytherin.

She looked back up at him. “You?”

Alex smiled at the girl before getting much more comfortable in his seat before starting, "Well, most would already know that I am the younger brother of the Defense Professor, Nigel Ravenhearst. My family came from Switzerland, but it was my parents who immigrated there during the War. After, my parents decided to stay there instead and I was raised there. My family mostly go to Slytherin, like my brother, but I chose a different path and was sorted in Hufflepuff."

Alex grabbed the drink that the boy served and offered the first one to Christie while grabbing his and sipping. He had not planned to divulge so much, but he guessed it was just him. Being a Hufflepuff, loyalty was number one and he felt that he could trust this girl

Christie’s ears perked up at the word of ‘Slytherin’, having completely forgotten that his brother was the Head of the Slytherin House, along with the Professor of Defense of the Dark Arts. “Oh, I forgot about that. My brothers were all in Slytherin, like my Dad. My Mum was in Ravenclaw. I’m the first to be in Gryffindor.” She said, feeling much closer to him now, that he had ‘chosen a different path’ like her. Getting sorted had been nerve-wracking, though. The whole time she was begging the hat to not put her in Slytherin, yet, begging it to put her in Slytherin.

Christie thanked the server, putting her index finger into the top of the drink and scooping out some of the foam. She sucked her finger, having always done that. It was the best part of the drink. It had the most sugar. “Anything else?”

Alex was surprised that this girl had a family that were all in Slytherin, it made him feel much more closer to her. He smiled before watching her finger scoop up some foam and her licking it. The picture was just so enticing that he was sure this girl would be great in Slytherin. To be able to these these, even unconsciously, would be a great asset if you are as ambitious as a Slytherin. Alex watched the girl and almost gawked at her before shaking his head and saying, "Well, as I've mentioned, I am in Hufflepuff. I do well in my studies and am actually at the top of my year, second only to a Ravenclaw I believe. I do like to take long walks and read a book while sitting near the Black Lake. I enjoy Classical Music, just like my brother. And, I work-out with my brother every morning!"

Alex finished his sentence with a dazzling smile before looking at her. He held her gaze and could absolutely swear that he might just drown in the blueish swirl that was her eyes. He felt a spark, but wasn't sure if it was just him or they both felt it. All he knew was that he can't botch this up. If he did, he was going to kill himself.

Christie looked back up at him as he didn't answer her for a few seconds. She wondered why he was just watching her, pulling her finger out of her mouth immediately, to wipe her lips. She thought she had something on her face. She had almost asked what was wrong, but he had continued speaking after shaking his head. "Wow, the top of your class. That's very impressive. I'm trying to do that, but Potions is not my best subject. I love Charms and Transfigurations. I love walking, as well, near the Black Lake, actually." she answered, smiling at the last part. It was sweet that siblings could be so close, and work out together every morning. She had never been close to her siblings or family, except her Mum. She was a bit envious. 

Christie smiled back at him, wondering how he could smile so... so.... enticingly. It just lured you to look and stare at him. She felt him gazing back into her eyes, feeling her heart skip a few beats. She looked away, however, thinking she was feeling too much in a moment. It was scary, yet exciting. She was blushing.

Alex smiled at the girl's light blush before finishing his drink. He then looked to his watch and saw that it was nearly six in the evening. Sighing inwardly, he knew that he should be a gentleman and let her leave, but he just couldn't resist. Maybe one more question, just one more to hear her sweet melodious voice before she had to go.

The Hufflepuff grinned before placing his glass down and asking, "How about you join me tomorrow for a walk by the Black Lake?"

He knew he was risking his own pride by asking the question. Of course, she would say no. Or maybe she would ask if his brother would be joining them. If that happened, he would likely just up and leave. But he certainly hoped it didn't. No, he wished that the girl would smiled and accept, and maybe kissing him. Yes. A kiss would be nice. Alex smirked before shaking his head, it would not do well to be clouded with such thoughts, especially when the girl he was dreaming about was right beside him.

Christie could feel his eyes on her, running her fingers through her hair in order to hide her face and blush better. She had to bite her lip to keep from giggling as he checked his watch, wondering if she should tell him that she had been joking about the other date. It would be great fun to have him think that there was another guy, horribly mean, but adorable to see him so flustered and confused when she did tell him that she was only seeing him today.

She hadn't been expecting another invitation to go out with him, at all. She looked up at him, flustered and confused herself. "What? Tomorrow? A walk?" she asked. It took her a minute to process the information. She hesitated, "I would love to, but... can your brother not come? I mean, I know he's your brother and all, but he's my Professor. It's just weird." she smiled shyly.

The Sixth Year had been wondering that for the past few minutes, the end of their little date. Would he kiss her? Was she pressing her luck? Would he escort her back to the castle and then do it then? Would they do it here? Or, would he be a jerk and ask her to come to his dorm with him? Hopefully, not the latter.

Alex immediately brightened when she asked her brother not to join them. Of course, he would tell his brother later that he was going to have t cancel their work-out session tomorrow because he had a date. Nigel, would of course, laugh and pry for information. But he wouldn't mind, not when Christie had agreed to walk with him. He could see his brother's face now, mortified that he was going to have to skip a run around the lake for a girl. But he knew his brother, and Nigel would probably be happy for him.

The Hufflepuff grinned before standing up. He then led the girl out before stopping just outside the Three Broomsticks. He then swiveled her around to face him before locking eyes with her. Her eyes, they were just so enticing, so endearing, so sexy. He opened his mouth for a moment before whispering, "May I?"

Christie wondered why he seemed to just be grinning at her like that, after she had asked that. It wasn't a strange request, was it? To walk without her Professor? He was a great guy, but... it was weird. It was like... watching a dog walk on its hind legs. Unnatural. It was unnatural seeing them in places that wasn't their natural habitat, the classroom. He was a 'cool' Professor, but still. And, furthermore, he was Alex's brother. She wondered what would happen if they started dating, seriously. How awkward were classes going to become? No, no, no. Never mind, that.

The Gryffindor followed him, wondering where the silence was coming from. He didn't seem one to enjoy silence, but she didn't mind it. It wasn't awkward between them. She almost jumped back in surprise when he swiveled her around to face him, locking eyes with her. She was just surprised, and blushing at their closeness. She gazed into his eyes, wondering how his eyes could just be staring into your soul like that. She glanced down at his lips, both so that he would stop staring into her eyes, and because his lips looked so kissable. So soft. She watched his lips form those two simple words, before whispering back, "Yes."

Alex grinned before going in for a kiss. He had anticipated that this might happen, but the reality was different from the imagination. It was much more different. As their lips touch, he could feel the softness of hers clashing with his. Slowly moving, he could somehow taste a lingering aftertaste of Butterbeer, which was much more enticing than one would think. He then began becoming more and more into it, eventually asking permission with his tongue to invade her mouth.

The feeling was great, if you ever ask Alex after that event. He felt like he was on top of the world, like he could climb MOunt Everest and back in one single day without clothes on. He felt like he can jump off a cliff and fly, without a broom to assist him. He felt like if it was the end of the world, then he could die happily at this moment. It was a great feeling, and one that he would cherish for the rest of his life.

Christie blushed as he leaned in to kiss her, standing on her tip toes to make it easier to him. It was like in one of those romantic movies that were black and white. It was a romantic setting, snow everywhere and them bundled up as can be, and it was still lightly snowing.

She felt a bit of electricity between their lips, wondering if he had shocked her physically or mentally. There were fireworks or butterflies in her stomach, and her heart sped before stopping. She felt her hands moving on their own, them snaking up his forearm, and then bicep - pausing to see that they were, surprisingly, more muscular than she had already thought - to his shoulders, and finally, wrapping her arms around his neck. It felt so strange, yet familiar, kissing him. It was a stranger's lips, but her lips felt like it was what had been missing all this time. His lips seemed to fit perfectly against hers. In fact, her body seemed to mesh perfectly into his. She just wished she was a few bloody centimeters taller, for this giant. She slightly parted her lips for his tongue, not believing she was going to first base with this acquaintance. 

She honestly felt like she was flying a bit with him, feeling that kiss lift them up a bit. She, slowly and reluctantly, pulled back. She didn't want to press their luck. She was a bit breathless at kissing him, opening her eyes and looking at him. "Umm... I'll see you tomorrow, then, Alexander." she whispered. She gently pecked his lips a last time before wiggling out of his grasp and being on her way. Wow... just... wow.

Alex smiled as Christie kissed him one last time before heading away. He couldn't believe it, this girl, a girl who could no doubt have any guy in the face of the world, kissed him with such passion that Alex might just think that she was totally into him. Of course, he had to keep calm, it wouldn't do well for him to scream like kid. No, he had to emulate his brother and be cool, calm, and collected.

Watching her walk away, he was suddenly entranced by her hips, swaying back and forth as if trying to hypnotize him. He couldn't help but grin before realizing something and calling out, "Hey Christie! What about your date?"

He had hoped that the date wasn't serious, but from her reaction to his kiss, it seems that it might just be what he had hoped.

Christie couldn't help but giggle as he called out to her, asking that. She turned around, her hair getting caught in the wind a bit, and covering her neck a bit. "Well, I'm going to be a bit late, aren't I, Mr. Ravenhearst?" she called back to him playfully. She just wanted to play with him a bit, although, he would realize that she was joking if he had caught her tone.

The Gryffindor walked backwards for a few seconds, staring at him a last time, before turning back around. She could have skipped back to the castle, but needed to be... smooth about it. She wanted to scream and kiss him again. She wanted to just run back to him and kiss him, but controlled herself. And, Merlin, was he handsome! His lips had been so light and soft and gentle, yet firm against hers, marking their presence.

She brought her fingers to her lips, touching them. She couldn't help but smile to herself, her whole way back to the castle.

Alex only smiled at her retreating form. The date seemed kind of off, maybe it didn't exist and she was just teasing him? Or maybe, as he had thought, she was probably going to see her friends. Shaking his head, he continued to watch her go, her hips shaking mysteriously sexy from his vantage point, which only spurned him on to catch up with her and carry her bridal style. The thought seemed to merit, but he didn't want to spoil this day by making a mistake. No, he was going to wait for a little while longer and see if their relationship worked. If it did, then he might cross that boundary. But for now, he was going to respect her personal space, for now.

The Hufflepuff grinned to himself before he himself started to grab his bags and leave towards Hogs Head. He was meeting some friends there for a drink before he was due back to the castle. In fact, he was planning to skip this drinking time altogether to go back and grab some rest for tomorrow, but he knew that his friends would probably beat him if he did.

Smiling, he started his trek. Oh he was excited. And he knew not to botch this thing up with Christie. If he did, then he might as well hang himself on a noose that he himself tied.
