Breaking the Rules [Open]

“Has anyone seen Wicked?” Alice had lost her pet toad, well she didn’t lose her. It was most likely Wicked
ran off again that toad like to do its own thing but it was getting late and Alice worried. No one gave her answer so
Alice knew she would be alone in looking for her pet. It was night and Alice knew if she left the common room if she got
caught it would be detention for her. That was not going to stop Alice though, grabbing her robe Alice opened the
portrait and ran down the stairs. At least Alice knew some of Wicked’s hiding spot the first place she
would look was by The Forbidden Forest.

She had made it outside without any teachers, headboy or girl finding her. Alice ran down the trail towards the forest
where she began to look by the edge of the forest. Alice hope Wicked did not travel in the forbidden forest because
she really did not want to go inside. “Wicked?” She whispered a few times not wanting to rise in voice in case there was
someone nearby. Alice heard a faint croak inside the forest, she took a deep breath and step inside the forest. She only took
a few steps in when she heard a croak close by, Alice got excited and ran towards the sound. 

There sat Wicked sitting on a log with another toad. “Wicked!” As soon as she spoke the other toad hop off. She
quickly picked up Wicked and gave her yell. "How could you do such a thing! I was scared out of my wits about you
missy." Alice shook her finger at the toad but it quickly stopped when she heard what had to be a footstep. Quickly
she looked around the dark forest for where the noise had came from hoping it was a person and not some creature.

Professor Nigel Ravenhearst of Defense Against the Dark Arts, as well as Head of House of Slytherin, walked around the edges of the Forbidden Forest as he patrolled the area. It was his duty again this week to patrol the gorunds for students who were out of bounds, and he was quite enjoying it for some reason. It was almost the full moon tonight and he can feel his inner wolf growling with anticipation, as well as happiness.

Nigel looked around, only to hear hurried footsteps. Pinpointing the exact location, Nigel pulled up his wand to cast a silent Lumos before venturing into the thick forest that surrounded the school. If it was a student, and he was sure it was, he or she was in more danger than he or she could possibly imagine. The Forbidden Forest was named for a reason. The vast expanse of the forest was inhabited by creatures known, and unknown. And Nigel wasn't looking forward to fighting an unknown creature.

Quickly, he rushed towards the sound, only to find a young Gryffindor student with her toad. He shook his head to remember her name, before recalling that she was called Alice, Alice Longbottom. It seems she has lost her toad again and ran out here to find it.

Nigel cleared his throat before saying, "Miss Longbottom, I presume you have found your toad?"

Whatever noise Alice heard was coming closer, she held Wicked close as her eyes scanned the trees. She started to tremble as the noise came towards her direction. A dark figure came towards her and Alice let out a scream. As soon as it came out Alice felt so foolish because the figure let out of cough and spoke. She realized it was just a Professor doing their rounds. She quickly looked down at her feet and her cheek went beet red from embarrassment. It was so embarrassing simple because the Professor coughed than Alice screamed.

She knew the Professor as he taught Defense Against the Dark Arts, a class that she didn’t mind when she was not terrible at it. “Yes.” She replied weakly. How she wished it was student that found her and not a Professor, she knew that she would be in deeper trouble with a Professor than a student and this Professor was the Head of Slytherin. “I’m sorry, I just was worried about her that’s all.” Alice frown.
