New friendship? (Alastair)

New to the United Kingdom was something that Dmitri was encountering at the very moment. It was getting to him because he spent most of his time as the Deputy Headmaster of Durmstrang under when Sergi was Headmaster but after the sudden downfall of the school. Dmitri had no choice but to move to some place where it was going to be safe for him and only him. Most of his family was killed off and he was just a lost soul looking to be helped but there was no one around to really help him..That was until he went over to the United Kingdom and was asked to take over as Head of Gryffindor House. He was quite excited for the opportunity but not knowing anyone, he was quite sadden but then again, it was something that he was going to have to deal with 

Walking around down the streets of Knockturn Alley. He was checking out all of the areas that were popping as some of his students would say...Although, being 28, he shouldn't have been using that type of slang. His dark brown eyes scoped the area, looking at the people and softly smiling at everyone but there was a dark aurora that was surrounding Dmitri that made people just walk away from him and he hated that but then again, as stated before. He walked but then stopped, pulling out a pack of cigarettes. He put one in his mouth and started to light it up, taking a small drag and blowing out smoke. Yeah, this was something that he was going to have to get use to sooner or later

Had he gone out to get pissed faced drunk? Nooo sadly that came a bit of a side effect.. Side effect of a rather bad day. A bad day when the morning started with a hangover that made apparition a bit too dangerous means to get to work. Sadly using floo network while un-successfully suppress the need to vomit had proved not only a bad choice, but an embarrassing, and messy choice as he found himself in a occupied stall in London’s subway. After nearly being beaten nearly unconscious by a he could only assumed a FEMALE 350 pound woman wearing a tangerine jumper and flowered knickers, and at least half of his morning tea he ended up apparating out of necessity, which only lead to him frightening his secretary with his sudden vile and blood appearance. Sadly this lead to an afternoon of nothing but continued interruptions, which lead to an early lunch where he offended said secretary and ended up ruining another shirt with a rather expensive glass of wine.. (Honestly how was he to know she wasn’t expecting?)

Sadly without the main person there to handle memo’s or personal notes he found actual work was inevitably waiting for him, along with a rather awkward meeting with his father to discuss his half-sister yet again. Till finally the day ended with him in a seedy bar in the lost turns of Knockturn surrounded by the sorts he normally was smart not to associated with, an hour later tie and robes loosen he had joined them in the bottom of the barrel till now when he staggernly step out to into the moon light he ebbed past the cackling hags that were plotting the downfall of one of their ex lovers, that is when he caught site of a newspaper headline.

When the hell did this happen?”

Staring blankly down at the headline in the discarded paper as if it were a joke. The tattered paper of the Prophet yellow with age, and stained with tea (he hoped it was tea.) Leaning forward he contemplated if looking at it more intently would make the word reform to other words. He honestly thought perhaps it was the booze, perhaps he was as intoxicated as he should be considering the amount of alcohol he himself had put away in the hours prior.

Looking down at the small script he noticed that where the text might be blurry and a bit fuzzy it was still there and not blurring into something else. His dark eyes flickered back to the large print of the headline.

”Bloody Hell Durmstrang Closed down?”

He was just beginning to forget about all of his things that were going through his mind when out of no where, someone beside him yelled the very thing that he was trying to forget. He turned and stared at the man, wondering what the hell had gotten into him. Usually people do not talk out loud to themselves. Usually it was ether in their head or they would get called crazy. He just then shrugged it off and went back to what he was doing. He stared at the list that he had pulled out of his hand and he then spoke strongly, in his norweign accent, directing it towards the man that was concerned about Durmstrang 

"Coming from someone who use to be a Deputy Headmaster of Durmstrang, it is quite shocking but it something that I will learn how to deal with since I am over here for now" he gave a sigh, marking off the things that he had already purchased. He then turned to the man, softly smiling at him "Forgive me for the rude introduction. My name is Dmitri Volkov...As stated, before Durmstrang closed. I use to be the Deputy Headmaster and leader of the school. But now I work over at Hogwarts as Head of Gryffindor House"

Alastair was not expecting someone to answer him, no when he had turned to looked down at the page of the prophet he had been alone in the small alcove, which meant next to nothing in the Turns of Knockturn as there was very few places in the darken pathways that one didn’t feel like they were under a watchful eye. However the moment a voice answered it literally caused Alastair to jerk slightly perhaps it came as a reflexes from being caught in a compromising position from one too many girlfriends.

Spotting the other Alastair’s ever appraising glance glided over the features of the other man combing the man for any signal that he might be a threat as he knew one never could be too careful in the Knockturn as there was not a shortage of hags looking to pick a pocket or in some cases a soul clean from someone’s grasp.

At the words Alastair found himself frowning, his opinion always easily shared when he has been playing about with his restraint for fire whiskey. “ Dreadful shame that is.. It was a Fine school, would have attended if Father not been on a board of trustees for Hogwarts. “

Discarding the paper with a soft shrug he tilted his head his glance weighing with interest. “ What did it in? Dare say you don’t look like you’re a sorted sort.. Doubt it was shotty Leadership”
