APPLICATION

• Flint is a very peculiar person, in so much as he can be both a bit of a loner, and also a very good people person. When he manages to get himself out of his obsessive need to engage in academic pursuits, he is in fact very personable and quite witty. However, it is rare to find him in this mood, and so a lot of people see him as rather rude and isolated. What Flint wants, more than anything else, is to be a success, and for him the way to do so is academically, to push himself to his intellectual limit and to surpass as many of his peers as he can.

That said, Flint is not a naturally brilliant wizard – He is retentive and persistent, and most importantly terrified of letting himself appear lost or weak. He has a mother he is perhaps too keen to please, and the ghost of a father that he cannot convince himself to chase, nor convince himself to let go. He like to fantasise often in his walks of a life as an auror or even privately contracted Dark Wizard hunter. He knows, however, that this a path long closed off to him... but still, a man can, and does, dream.

Friends - Flint is quite a nice and personable guy, so I can see people getting on fairly well with him – If they can get past his awkward foppishness and desire to shut himself in and study. Old friends are greatly appreciated, new friends could be a few fun threads as well.

Foes - 'Enemies' is perhaps a bit harsh, but I can see people not liking Flint for various reasons, as well as him not liking them for things like arrogance, patronising and suchlike. He's also open to potential rivalries with any other 'brains' of the school.

Romance - Not something I've thought of, but it could be a fun idea, with his foppish nerdy-ness turning any romance plot into a mix of a Hugh Grant rom-com and a Tom Cruise self-discovery flick. If you think you have an idea for it, let me know!

James likes to think he can get along with everyone, and he tries. He comes across as quite quiet, but he'll talk to anyone who wants to talk, and he's probably the most placid and non-judgemental person you'll meet. He pretty much lives up to every trait of his house to their fullest. 

@candy && FLINT COTNOIR
Candy is more sociable that a lot of Slytherins are, but she is still a Slytherin in the end. She could go either way, with most people. In the right circumstances they could get along, but in the wrong circumstances things could go very badly. 

@red && FLINT COTNOIR
Raphael... Well, based on his attitude towards school alone I'm pretty sure Flint won't be keen on him... He doesn't see the point in school or learning and lives for fun and a laugh, and nothing it worth studying extra hours for. 

@dorian && FLINT COTNOIR
Dorian takes the time to talk to his students when they want to talk or ask about work and stuff, but there's always  a professional line that shouldn't be crossed, so he'll talk but from a respectable distance.
