Background: Nigel Ravenhearst was born in Bern, Switzerland to a young British couple that escaped the Dark Lord Voldemort and his reign. Growing up in relative peace, Nigel was introduced early to the magic that resided in him. Truth be told, his father and mother taught him simple spells when he was eight years old, so as to prepare him fully for the life in Hogwarts. He recieved his Hogwarts letter on time and soon, he was on his way to become the next Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor, and the Head of Slytherin.
During his schooling in Hogwarts, he learned that the prejudice his parents had warned him about were almost non-existent. He was afraid that being a Half-Blood, he would be shunned but the House he was in, Slytherin, seemed to have turned in a new leaf after the fall of the Dark Lord Voldemort. That is not to say that there were none that had Purist ideals, it was just that most did not adhere to it anymore. His time inside Hogwarts was a true eye opener for Nigel. He had learned much about the new society of British Magicals and after graduating, he had decided to stay in the country.
Being a Prefect and Head Boy of Hogwarts did have its perks. His first job landed him with the International Confederation of Wizards as a guard of sorts. He was detailed with the British representative to the ICW, which gave him access to major political players. This gave him the opportunity to rise up in the ranks of the detail and after two years, he had been the youngest detail officer in service to the ICW Representative of Britain.
Reaching twenty-five, Nigel realized not getting younger and so, he had formally resigned from his position and applied in Hogwarts for any teaching position they had. Luckily, the Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor was retiring and he had been chosen as the successor for the post. He had started off relatively serene, with his classes being as interactive as ever. After a two years, the Board of Directors seemed quite impressed, and this gave way to Nigel being assigned as the Head of House of Slytherin. Of course, most of the political allies he had garnered that had seats in the Board of Directors voted for him. This gave way to Nigel's new position, as well as his new duties. He only hopes that he can do them well enough to impress the Board and all the other staff members.
