Tauri had always known she wanted to become a teacher, especially in the one subject she was really rather brilliant at, but then she had thought she would be much taller when she was. Most of her students were taller than her, for Agrippa's sake. Sitting at her desk as she watched the students come in for their lesson, it was never as apparent as when she stood up to write on the board. Today, though, she simply stood up and walked to the front of the class.
Tauriel smiled at the class and gestured for the ones still coming in to move along. "Hey, the quicker you get in here, the quicker you can leave,' she joked with a soft smile before leaning against her desk, wand in hand as she addressed the class. "So as usual, no wands, thank you very much. Today we'll be doing your basic translations to kick-start those synapses and familiarise you with the most commonly used runic language in the Wizarding World," she explained before using her wand to pick up a pile of papers on her desk and sent one flying to every occupied desk. "There's your basic alphabet without phonetical runes or capitalisation, which we will be handling soon. As you can see, it's quite simple so I expect nothing but the best from the whole lot of you."
Again with her wand, she picked up another pile of papers on her desk and did the same.
"This is what you'll be translating. If you do so correctly, rules on capitalisation and punctuation will be apparent to you. You have twenty minutes. When you are done, place down your quills and, as usual, no talking. Oh, alright, fine, whisper if you must," she instructed calmly and with her usual soft smile before moving to sit down behind her desk again. "But if it's about the work, I'll be in my right to Silencio the lot of you," she added jokingly before picking up her quill and concentrating on marking the previous class's translation.
