Background :
Felix was born in Montélimar, South France, but moved to Britain when he was only a few months old. Both of his parents are French, but both have relations in England, as well as Scotland and other European countries. As such, Felix was brought up with French customs, but also - through his friends and British relations - picked up the British way of life, and has enjoyed it since.
When he completed school, he applied to work for the Daily Prophet, but was rejected. He set his sights higher, and aimed for the Ministry of Magic itself. He landed a desk job as a PA for the deputy of a department. Quickly rising through the ranks, after a couple of years, he found there was a job opening as an Auror, applied, and promptly got the approval from the head of the department.
Felix was regarded as a good Auror, amongst the best, but he never truly had a love for the job. He saw it as uninteresting, and more like a glorified law enforcement job, rather than a crack, hit-squad of dark wizard catchers. He stuck with it though, and made it to the deputy head of the department, before leaving the Ministry for the perfect job opening at Hogwarts - Charms professor. Felix has always had a special affinity with the quirky, interesting spells that Charms lessons provide, so he was very enthusiastic about the opening. He applied, and was called up.
