The headmaster or headmistress of Hogwarts needs to be a strong RPer in terms of grammar, spelling, character depth, and overall creativity. The Great Hall roared with the many voices of students and staff all chattering at once. Each first year had been sorted and everyone had hunger written on their faces. Through the deafening noise Fiona stood up from her seat at the faculty table. As Headmistress it was her duty to quiet down the mob and begin the annual feast that initiated the start of the school term. It was Fiona alone who had the power to do that even if the mentality of a leader hadn't yet overcome her. She had been a professor, the head of the Ravenclaw house, the deputy headmistress and even in her youth she had been a prefect and Head Girl. To her, leadership came from passion and loyalty. Hogwarts was the only place she ever felt welcome and now she was going to be the hospitable matriarch accepting and mentoring her own batch of students just as she had been as a child.

Her magenta robes unfolded and fell at her sides as she rose. She motioned with her hands for attention and a cease of conversation. Addressing the murmuring crowd she spoke, "To the newcomers, our first years, welcome to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. And to those of you familiar to our abode, welcome back! I want nothing more than for everyone here, students and staff alike, to think of Hogwarts as their home." Fiona paused a moment and folded her hands in front of her, holding her sentimental tears from building behind her eyes. "Maybe it's your second home, home away from home or even your only one. Just remember that even though your education here is only seven years long, your time here is not temporary. Your heart will stay with this school for the rest of your life. This is a special place full of history but mostly it is full of memories."
