QUILL DONNAG
Quill is the son of a ministry official and an apothecary supplier. At seventeen years old he is in his last year at Hogwarts. Because of his power hungry aspirations and leadership quality, he does well in the Slytherin House. He fantasizes to one day be Minister of Magic or hold a place on the Wizengamot. With the connections he has through his parents may just get him there eventually. NEWTs are important to him right now but so is leaving a mark in the history of Hogwarts. He comes off as a snob and seems to only care about himself but Quill can be a good ally (if he needs to be).
The first word one would use to describe Quill is resourceful. The second word is determined. He is known to be a name dropper, mainly because he has a "guy" for everything. Well liked and well known, Quill uses his connections to get him where he wants to be or what he wants to have. Because of this, he comes off to those he tries to get close to as a user and those he ignores as a snob. If you have or can get him something he needs, he will work a good deal. To him, friendships are two-sided: a "supply and demand" or a "win-win." House rivalry doesn't even matter to him.
Really, Quill is only like that because of how determined he is. It's compulsive at times and almost always self-serving. To him, if you put yourself above others, you can be happy and healthy enough to attend to the others more effectively later. Since many perceive him as conceited or selfish, he keeps most thoughts to himself and is secretive about his true emotions. It's hard for him to work on real relationships or to keep people close. He'd rather be on top and lead than follow as a sheep and depend on someone else.
