[ATREYU GREYMANE]

Waking in pool of sweat again,Atreyu sat at the edge of his bed confused as to why he kept dreaming of the forbidden forest. Jumping to his feet Atreyu tried to recall all of the horrible dreams that tortured him night in and night out, he couldn't help but feel that it meant something ominous. The first thing that came to him whilst recalling his dream was the long run throuh the night as the cold dead air whipped at his skin,the heavy breathing and violent beating of his heart as he neared the entrance of the forest, second was the burning sensation consuming his body, this may be why he awoke in a pool of sweat. Third was the sense of dread as he stood in the middle of the dark forest with the thin beams of moonlight piercing the canopy playing games with Atreyu's vision as it dance with the mist the creeper along the bottom of the forest floor. The last thing that Atreyu could recall was his bare feet on the dirt and the sound of howling ringing on the stale air that seemed to choke him with each breath he took, Atreyu still couldn't understand what his dream meant or why he keept repeating the same dream about the Forbidden Forest, it was until he sat by the fire place that he realized his feet were covered in dirt, Atreyu began to shake as it all came to him as the fire went out and the wind began to howl and he could feel cold moss covered ground as he awoke again but this time it was real he was in the forest. Atreyu searched for his wand as he did so he could see the glowing eyes of other creatures begin to sorround him he grasped his want and in a flurry he screamed " incendio " lighting fires in a circle around him in an atemp to push back the denizens of the forest,Atreyu then made a break for it running threw the forest till he broke the edge or it and as he did he tripped and rolled till he was spiralled out on the ground in front of Hogwarts.Atreyu laid there motionless in disbelief that his nightmare was all to real and that he almost lost his life he needed to find answers to what was going on with him.

Cold, he was, but it was the cold that he enjoyed more than anything. It matched his heart, you see, and the howling wind and rushing rain was a perfect companion to further blacken his long since shrivelled heart.

Sitting a tree branch in the forest was a great place to sit. Other than the incredible views over the trees as far as the eye could see in every direction, it was a perfect vantage point to hunt, whether a stray forest animal ventured into his lair, or a human fit for snacking upon. Rickard was wearing his usual dark red cloak, buttoned at his neck with an ancient silver clasp in the shape of a lion holding an axe, the emblem of the royal house of Norway. His hood was pulled over his head, and upon his feet were knee-high black boots that had been his favoured footwear for many years. Suddenly, his head snapped up and his ears twitched - he could hear someone or something nearby. Staying deathly quiet, he focussed his eyes on the forest floor, looking for a clue as to what made the noise, and what he saw made his lips curl into a lifeless grin.

It was a boy, no doubt a student from the school. But why was he so deep into the forest? That was a question that he could ask, as Rickard - manipulative and clever as he was - liked the play with his food, before he put them out of their misery. The boy crashed through the undergrowth and ran towards Rickard's tree. He was heading for Hogwarts, Rickard surmised, so he was content simply following him. Jumping down from his tree silently, Rickard stayed back and was sure that with all the racket the boy was making, he wouldn't be heard. The boy, upon reaching the edge of the forest, fell and lay motionless on the ground. Luckily, it was still dark, so hopefully he wouldn't be seen by a passing teacher, or other students that was sound the alarm that a vampire was in the grounds. "I didn't think students were allowed in the forest." Rickard said softly, appearing from behind a tree to face the boy and he suddenly realised that the boy was his sworn enemy - a werewolf, or dog, as vampires called them. "And the fire...using fire in a forest...I assume the education at this magnificent castle is totally wasted on you, am I correct, dog?" His eyes glinted maliciously as he teased.

[ROSE NIGHTDREAM]

Stupid damn potions. Making her work for extra credit because her stupid draught of the living dead was poisonous. If she was such a danger to the students of Hogwarts why was she having to make something special to show she had the aptitude to at least get an "A" in her N.E.W.T's. It wasn't her choice that she take Potions, frankly Rose couldn't stand the practise, nor did she favour the Professor. Something about a person who is consistently hunches over a cauldron just didn't seem appealing. So, late at night she had sought out the Forest. She had been in it a few times over her time in Hogwarts and she knew a patch of ground that held very good potions ingredients that were somewhat "off-limits" to students. But until they could prove she had taken them from the forest she would not be in trouble.

So she thought.

Basket held tight to her side with her elbow, Rose trudged back through the dense forest. The undergrowth proving difficult to manage as the darkness seeped into every corner it could. Showing no sign of letting up and even causing her illuminated wand end to shine dull. It was never a good sign.

But she had thought she would be alone. How silly of her to think that the Forbidden Forest would be void of any other students. Especially ones who would, it seemed enjoy drawing attention to themselves. She only caught sight of the flames from the corner of her eyes, letting her know that in fact she had not been going directly toward the castle, but along the inner edge of the Forest for almost 20 minutes. Fantastic. However she now knew where to go so, turning around she walked in the direction of the now kindling flames, to find a student lying on the ground. She was going to speak when she heard a familiar voice coming from a void of darkness in the forest. It caused her hair to stand on end and her magic crackle inside of her. Rose despised fear; but she was frightened. She could not remember much from her run in at Hogsmede after hours but the voice triggered off  enough fear to make her question her ability to just leave and return to the castle. 

"Merlin" she whispered, watching as the vampire emerged from the forest to confront the prone student.

Atreyu was unaware of how long he was sprawled out in the cold wet grass,his feet covered in mud and grass stains on his knees he struggled to get to his feet, when He felt an overbearing sense of dread swell over him as he heard a voice say "I didn't think students were allowed in the forest."Atreyu rolled over on to his back to see a pale man in a red coat standing not more then 10 feet from were he lay.
The stench of death rolled of the tongue of the man who spoke insulting words towards Atreyu "And the fire...using fire in a forest...I assume the education at this magnificent castle is totally wasted on you, am I correct, dog?" Atreyu snarled "you might want to rethink how you talk to me ,you stinking sack of bones." Atreyu grabbed for his wand wich had fallen from his hand when he collapsed as he did this he heard a familiar voice"Merlin" twas the voice of Rose Nightdream.She was a Slytherin but Atreyu knew of her only cause he had a Thing for the young he admired her ambition.Atreyu regained enough strength to obtain his wand and make it too his feet after he did so his eyes began to glow yellow like the moon, Atreyu wasn't going to let some bag of bones get there filthy hands on him.Atreyu whipped his wand around and yelled "Sectum Sempra" Towards the vile creature in front of him Atreyu thought to himself"good thing i paid attention in DADA class" He then took off running towards rose as he shouted out to her to take his hand so they could make an escape to the castle.
As he was running before he reached rose Atreyu turned and cast "Incendio" at the beast to make sure it wouldn't be following.

[RICKARD MAGNUSSEN]

A small smile crept over the lips of Rickard as the small boy realised he was there, not ten feet away. The stench of fear and sweat filled his nostrils and he took an eager intake of breath, savouring the sensation, feeding off it. It was both a curse and a blessing that Vampires could smell their victims, as one could imagine without much more information. Still, there was nothing quite like the smell of a human, fresh and succulent, fearing for their life as he approached. Rickard liked to toy with his potential victims, as he was a showman at heart. It had been several months since his last human meal, and he was certainly longing for it. Living off other animals was just not comparable.

Rickard raised an eyebrow at the boy when he returned an insult to Rickard, something he did not expect. Sack of bones? Well, it was obvious this boy was not the brightest spark to fire such an unimaginative insult, so it would be even more of a pleasure to murder him. Still, he must be careful not to alert anyone, especially the any staff members of the school. If anyone found out that there was a fully grown, blood-lusting Vampire in the grounds, the Ministry would probably send hit wizards and his time on the run would hit another level.

Suddenly, a familiar scent entered the vicinity and he flicked his head up from the boy and searched around for her. Could it be? The one that got away? Rickard's smile grew as he saw her, brown hair billowing. Rickard kept silent and leaned against his tree, a sly grin on his face as he watched the boy jump to his feet and shoot a curse, which he dodged, pulling out his own wand at the same time. "If you had actually paid attention in Defence Against the Dark Arts lessons, then you would know that random curses fired at a Vampire are unlikely to work, especially one that had a wand at his disposal. I didn't actually think it was possible for you to be as stupid as you looked, but you seem to be full of surprises, Werewolf." Suddenly, he ran towards Rose and shot fire back towards Rickard, which the Vampire put out with some water from his wand. He tutted again. "My, my, Dog. The groundskeeper will not be happy with you, with all these fires you seem to be starting. Where are you rushing off to?" Rickard ran, faster than any human could and stopped in front of both students, his eyes boring into Roses in particular. "The party is just getting started." He then raised a hand and aimed a backhand across the boys face.
Rickard looked around very quickly, scanning the doors to the castle and the grounds around, making sure they were alone. Luckily, he would smell and hear any other visitors before he saw them.

[ROSE NIGHTDREAM]

Don't panic. This was not the time to panic. Panicking would be very very bad right now. Rose knew that she should have kept a level head but in situations like this all she could manage was a weak shaking breath. Her brain screaming at her that this was a very bad place to be. 'Oh Merlin' She thought, looking around hastily before raising her hand to her mouth, trying to stifle the shaking breaths she was making in an attempt to hide herself from the vampire. She knew of course that it would be of no use, Vampires had superior hearing, smell, and speed. If she wasn't careful she would be dead before she could get back to the castle. And that would be very bad indeed. Slowing her breath down to hardly more than was possible for keeping her conscious Rose watched with wide eyes, fear evident on her face as she watched the two males. It was obvious that the student was not the best versed in how to deal with Vampires, but little else could be expected from a student. Their classes were never hands on and until recently Rose had never even seen a Vampire. Although she knew the signs, seeing one in person was a horrifying feeling.

She cringed as the Ravenclaw, someone she had seen around the school tried to curse the Vampire. The spell she had heard around school but it was not noted in any of their spell books. This hadn't stopped her before but it didn't surprise her. Ravenclaws were unforgivable know-it-alls and it drove her crazy. "Idiot" She whispered, noting the Vampire simply avoid the spell. Of course that wouldn't work. Vampires weren't on the list of Dangerous creatures for nothing after all. Although ... one thing caught her ears. 'Werewolf?!' her mind screamed out, now looking horrified at the prospect of taking the students hand and fleeing to the castle. Although it was the lesser of two evils the trepidation was evident on her face as she took the younger students hand and made a bee line out of the forest, dropping her basket of ingredients in her haste and letting out a small cry of upset. It would be a long time before she was stupid enough to sneak out if there were both Werewolves and Vampires in the area. 

However, she stopped short when said creature stood in front of her. He hadn't been there before she blinked, but she let go of the boys hand with a soft gasp and fought to contain herself, stumbling again would be detrimental right now. But she didn't move. Rose was transfixed. Her breath heavy in her chest she gazed up at the creature, frozen with both fear and ... something she was loath to admit. She could not tell if it was some strange Vampire power or if her hormones were getting the better of her but as she looked up at the ancient she could not stop herself from feeling a low stirring somewhere in the back of her mind. She knew she had to flee, she knew she had to get away from him but she just couldn't. "Run Greymane. Run now." She said softly, unsure if anyone but the vampire would even hear her.

The backhand delivered by the vampire sent Atreyu rolling through the grass,as Atreyu struggled to get to his hands and knees the walking corpse drew ever near rose.Who seemed to be frozen in his gaze Atreyu yelled out as he wiped the blood from his mouth"You hit like a girl".Atreyu had made it to his feet when he heard Rose whisper something"Run,Greymane Run " He heard her crises, but he couldn't No he wouldn't leave her.The pasty vamp had caused him far to much duress and he was pissed so as he pulled his wand again he yelled to get the vampires attention "Hey,you flamboyant arse why don't you pick on someone who can fight back".Atreyu pointed his wand at the vampire and began to move towards him.In his mind he knew this was a bad idea he could either get himself killed or rose hurt in the process of being a hardheaded fool,but he had no choice he couldn't let this arse run free on the grounds.Atreyu recalled a low level spell that would hoplfully buy him some time so he pointed his wand and with out saying a word he cast "Stupify" multiple times praying that one would hit it's mark.

It was with a satisfied look that Rickard looked upon Rose. After their first encounter, he did not know how much she remembered, as she was incredibly intoxicated at the time. Both he and another Vampire named Arthur had teased her and planned a feast at her expense, but they were interrupted by a Hogwarts professor, and she escaped. So Rickard watched her go, a blank expression masking his fury. Still, he had her now, and he was so looking forward to it.

Rickard felt a surge of adrenaline course through his empty veins when the back of his hand connected with the boys face, turning his eyes blacker still as his thirst increased. He fell onto the grass, sprawled out, and then - weirdly - he got to his feet and stated that Rickard 'hit like a girl'. Rickard barked out a laugh and then shook his head. "I hit like a girl? Is that meant to be an insult, boy? I know many girls who would certainly out-do you in a fight. You convict yourself with your every word."

When the Dog got to its paws, Rickard heard Rose urge the boy - who was seemingly called Greymane - to run. However, he did not seem to want to listen to the good sense provided by Rose, and pulled out his wand. Rickard slowly shook his head and closed his eyes for a moment, contemplating whether someone could actually be this stupid, or whether it was some kind of fiction he was placed in. Still, either way, he would play it as reality. "Rose here has given you some good sense. Run, boy, and don't look back, and I may spare you." Rickard also pulled out his wand, ready to defend himself if necessary.

Suddenly, the boy told Rickard to pick on someone who can fight back, and started to walk towards him, wand raised. Rickard had to commend him on his bravery, but that bravery could easily be twisted to look like foolishness. Several flashes of red light flew towards him, and he only just managed to summon a protective barrier to deflect the spells. "You are really starting to annoy me, Dog." Rickard said, his face contorting into a grotesque look of anger once the spells had ricocheted off trees and into the grounds, and there was a slight ringing in his head from the spells. Rickard put his wand away, confident he could dodge any further attacks, and he hoped he'd sent the message that it was exceptionally difficult to simply stun a Vampire.

Rickard began to walk slowly towards the boy, facing his wand like it was nothing more than a twig. "You. You are a Werewolf, I am a Vampire. We are sworn enemies. However, I have no personal quarrel with you, but if you continue to annoy me, I will hunt you." He got closer and closer to the boy. "Night and day, you will look over your shoulder and I will be there, hidden in the shadows." When he was close enough, Rickard extended a long, pale, claw-like hand and grasped the throat of the boy, lifting him off the ground an inch or so. "Leave." Rickard whispered. "And, for another matter, do not presume women are weaker than you, especially Rose." He then threw the boy several feet away, into the darkness.

Rickard had no idea why he was defending Rose from what the boy called Greymane was saying, but there were certain attitudes that even a deplorable Vampire would defend anyone against, and misogyny was one of them. "Now, Rose...where were we? Ah yes." Rickard said, turning to her with a smile on his face. "Dinner."

[ROSE NIGHTDREAM]

Rose was more terrified than she would ever admit. All she could think of doing was run away scared and cry. She had never been in a situation where she was really forced to fend for herself against someone who was a superior duellist. She couldn't fault the Ravenclaws bravery ... misplaced as it was. She thought that it was something she could commend him on, if she got through the night. Yet all words that came to her mind were stuck in her throat. She could feel the fear choking her and her eyes watered at the corners, enough to blur her vision and deceive her strong stance. She wasn't a fighter, not when she was pressed. But ... if he could face off a vampire. 'Get it together Rosie, don't just stand there simpering like a muggle. You have a wand. You are a witch! Take charge!' She growled. Keeping her eyes locked on the vampire. Evil as he was, she couldn't help the teenage emotions that struggled to want to harm him. Damn it ... he was cute.

The student however, his idiocy seemed to only be outweighed by his over confidence in an ability which seemed to be hardly there at all. Everyone and their grandmother knew that vampires were fast, and even faster to anger. Surely he would know; being a Werewolf, that nothing short of a fight in beast form would give him any sort of advantage. She could very easily see this turning into a bloodbath and Rose would not be sticking around for anything like that. If she could avoid it, the vampire would not be getting her hands on either of them. Although with a wolf who was obviously suffering the after effects of the full moon she had no doubt that he would be as useful as an apron against a Blast Ended Skrewt.

Still Rose could not deny that the vampire had style, obviously with age he had grown strong; confident, self assured. And against teenagers this was a huge advantage. It was only when he returned to face her, muttering something about dinner that she found the courage to speak up. The words catching in her throat as she looked wide eyed up at the creature that would spare her no mercy in death. "L-leave us ..." She whimpered. Shakily reaching for her wand and raising it up at the vampire. "I'll fight you?" She continued, still with the same wide, fearful look. She was probably about as convincing as a Flobberworm but that didn't matter. She could use this to her advantage right? He wouldn't expect her to fight him. He wouldn't think she would have the guts. Shaking her head she took a step back and pointed her wand directly at the vampires throat, never letting her eyes leave his. "Expecto Patronum!" She said harshly, trying hard to find an memory that could conjure up the spectre that should protect against dark creatures. Surely that would include vampires? Wouldn't it?

Rose looked around frantically, wand still raised in search of the Werewolf. She was a fan of neither species but she would have hell to pay if she was to leave him alone. Stupid school. Every witch or wizard should be in it for themselves. She wasn't a Stupid Gryffindor for Morgana's sake. Who cared if he died, she would live and she was more valuable than he was.  Of course, at that her happy thoughts were turning sour and the already malformed patronus was fading away. After a few seconds nothing but the soft, blindingly white wisps of her own memory would remain lingering in the air like a bad smell. Taunting her at her own lack of skill. 

'That didn't work' She thought scornfully. Giving a glance back at the vampire Rose grimaced before she decided to take the more pro-active option and begin running in the direction of the school, the opposite direction of the boy. A fight with a werewolf would be more appealing than her, right? 'Oh Merlin I hope this works' "Expulso!" She shouted, reaching her wand behind her as she started running, aiming haphazardly and hoping that it was in the direction of the vampire. She wasn't really paying attention to her aim; more on her attempt at fleeing. 

"What do you want, you freak!" She finally shouted, slowing down and lowering her wand in what was obviously a notice mistake. But she was not in a clear frame of mind. "Go feed on some other sap, how did you even get on the grounds? The headmaster will have your head for this!" Her threat was empty, but it made her feel ever so slightly more confident knowing that the actions of the vampire were deplorable to say the least. Turning around to face the creature again, Rose raised her wand up in her strange duelling stance. It was a family trait, bent arm for more fluid wand movements. It meant she wasn't strong when spells collided but it was something she never dreamed of coming across and she wasn't about to start now.

Atreyu having been thrown by that Bloodsucking Halfdead freak really lit a fire under him he managed to get to his feet once again,still weak from his transformation and getting back handed by that dainty prick. Atreyu knew there had to be something he could do to save the girl and himself from this vamp,he watched as Rose was stalked into the further darkness with the pasty face right on her heels.Atreyu began to jog in there direction holding his ribs breathing hard thinking to himself " i must have cracked a rib when hitting that tree after the vamp threw me"  this was not good how was he supposed to save himself and this girl when he was in such bad shape as he got closer to the vamp he heard the spell "expulso" ring through the cold night air,Atreyu saw the vamp dodge the horrendously aimed spell it zipped past the vamp and landed in front of Atreyu launching him into the air back wards "this night could not get any worse" the spell did little to no damage to Atreyu because in the split seconds before the spell landed Atreyu cast "protego" but the force of the blast propelled him backwards.
