MAIN PLOT |
"The Wand Ban is the Code of Wand Use's Clause Three (passed by the Ministry of Magic in 1631). This clause forbids Non-Human Magical Beings such as house-elves or giants to carry a wand. Vampires, hags, and other magical hominids are not permitted to carry wands because they are classified as non-Magical Part-Humans. Werewolves, on the other hand, are recognised as humans afflicted with lycanthropy and are permitted to carry wands, though in their transformed state they lose the ability to practise magic as a normal witch or wizard." The year 2012 marks the year of the first creature uprising in Bulgaria. The revolts started in small towns, just out of the reach of the cities. Their revolts were against the prejudice and discrimination shown by witches and wizards against their kind. Goblins, centaurs, vampires, vela, merpeople and werewolves joined together for the right to bear a wand, attend magical education and job opportunities. The uprisings started out small and peaceful. However, two years later, a different picture started to emerge. Violence emerged and many creatures and wizards were killed. By 2017, the Bulgarian Ministry for Magic quelled the prolific uprisings and an uneasy peace settled. In 2020, the Bulgarian Ministry for Magic declared that all non-Magical Part-Humans were to be counted and branded. Any non-Magical Part-Humans who resist are to be classified as dangerous and would be sentenced to death. By 2022, the uneasy peace broke and another uprising ensues. This time it is led by a group of creatures – Mikhail Yankov, a young werewolf, Magorian, a centaur, Krobum, a goblin, and Lorcan, a vampire. The uprisings spread across the globe and threatened to expose the magical world to muggles. In 2030, Drumstrang falls. In response to this threat, the British Ministry for Magic declares that non-Magical Part-Humans have equal status to wizards and witches and allow them to bear wands, attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and gain jobs within wizarding society. Creatures from all over the globe are now attempting to move to the UK for a better life. Violence and hatred for creatures is beginning to stir in the communities. What side will you join? Are you a creature looking for your rightful place in the wizarding world? Are you against integration with creatures? Are you a sympathiser with the creatures and support their cause? Or are you neutral to the whole affair? Where is your place is this new society? |
